Max Christie (full name Cormac Karl Christie Jr.) is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks of the NBA, born February 10, 2003, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. After playing one season of college basketball for Michigan State, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2022 NBA Draft and later traded to the Mavericks. Christie is the son of Katrina and Cormac Sr., both of whom played college basketball, and he has a younger brother, Cameron Christie.
Christie played one season of college basketball at Michigan State (2021–22), averaging about 9.3 points per game and earning a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
